This exhibition, the largest display of ancient Uzebekistan culture in Korea, will showcase artifacts from the prehistoric age to the 8th century. One-hundred and fifty artifacts have been contributed by the Uzbekistan National Historic Museum, National Gallery, Art Institute, and Samarqand Archeology Institute. The significance of the artifacts lend an understanding to the ancient relationships between Uzbekistan and Korea that trace back to the Silkroad of so many years ago.

Seollal: Korean Lunar New Year

Each year millions of families fight through the congested traffic to return back to their home town to celebrate “Seollal” (설날) or the “Lunar New Year“ (음력설날). Seollal is a day to pay respect to parents and to deceased ancestors. This is one of the biggest days in Korea along with “Chuseok” (추석), a holiday similar to Thanksgiving Day.
