Cafe Aritaum is actually a pair of cafes located on both sides of the Yanghwa bridge (양화대교) overlooking the Han river on the east side of Seoul running between Hapjeong and Dangsan stations of subway line number 2. The cafe on the west side of the bridge is Cafe Aritaum Seonyu (선유) with its name written in English, and the one located on the east side is Cafe Aritaum Yanghwa (양화) which has its name written in Korean. The cafes are essentially identical in terms of their design and menu, however they both offer different views overlooking the Han river…
Although not exactly a restaurant, Television 12 is a combined cafe and gallery that serves up food, drinks and artwork! It has been around since June of 2008 and it’s a great place to relax while you’re hanging out in the Hongdae area.
